北京故宫是世界上最大的皇宫。 公元1406年开始兴建， 1420年建成， 总占地面积为72万平方米， 建筑面积有15万平方米， 墙外还有宽12米的护城河。 The Imperial Palace (the Forbidden City) in Beijing is the world's largest royal palace, covering an area of 720000 square metres, with a floor space of 150,000 square metres, and a moat of 12 metres in width. It's construction started in 1406 and was completed in 1420.
